Pre-launch · Building in 2026

The discovery layer for agentic commerce.

AI agents are starting to book, buy, and transact on behalf of real people. The web they need to operate on does not exist yet. We are building the rails.

The standard for agent-to-agent commerce. We shipped it first, and we are the first to run it at scale.

AI agents are ready to do business. Almost no business is ready for them.

Where we sit

Between the agents people are starting to trust and the businesses those agents need to reach. The plumbing, the registry, the protocol layer. The connective tissue.

What we believe

Every web protocol that mattered, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, security.txt, started because one team shipped it first. The agentic web needs the same kind of opinionated start.

Why now

The model providers have agreed on a common protocol. AI traffic is converting. The infrastructure to make local commerce addressable to agents is the missing piece, and the window is measured in quarters, not years.

Three live pieces, one open standard.

Registry

The directory agents trust. Beacon-aware assistants query registry.beaconspec.com/mcp to find verified businesses, and load an open skill that teaches any agent how to transact safely.

Open the registry →

Portal

Where a business gets discovered. A short guided setup publishes your Beacon Spec profile, confirms you own your domain, and lists you, verified, at no cost.

List your business →

BEA

The consumer agent that shows it working. Beacon-aware out of the box, BEA books and buys on a person’s behalf, and asks before it ever spends.

Meet BEA →

From open standard to agentic commerce.

  1. The standard. Beacon Spec is an open specification, an MCP Server Card with a commerce profile, that a business publishes at /.well-known/mcp.json. It declares who they are, where their agent-callable endpoint is, and what it can do. Read the spec on GitHub.
  2. Businesses publish and get verified, via the Portal. A guided wizard at portal.beaconspec.com generates that file, proves the business controls its domain, and checks that its endpoint is live. Free. “Verified” means really theirs and really reachable.
  3. The Registry indexes them. registry.beaconspec.com is the searchable directory of verified businesses, the discovery layer agents trust. Agents query its MCP endpoint at /mcp.
  4. Agents learn the rules, via the Skill. Any agent can load the downloadable skill to know how to discover, evaluate, and transact: prefer verified registry listings, and connect directly to other spec-publishing sites only at the user’s own risk.
  5. The agent transacts, with a human in the loop. It connects to the business’s own endpoint to check availability, get a quote, or book, and always asks the person before money moves.

BEA is that entire loop running live, a Beacon-aware assistant you can try today. But BEA isn’t special: any agent becomes Beacon-aware the moment you give it our open skill and a connection to the registry’s MCP endpoint.

Right now, an AI is deciding who gets the sale. It can’t pick you, yet.

This isn’t a forecast. It’s already happening. People are handing buying decisions to AI agents, book the plumber, order the part, schedule the visit, and an agent can only buy from a business it can reach over a machine endpoint. Your website, your phone number, your five-star reviews? Invisible to it. The owners wiring up now will own this channel before their competitors know it exists, and that head start closes fast. We build the whole thing end to end: the MCP server or API behind your catalog, scheduling, and checkout, then publish and verify you in the registry, so the moment an agent comes looking, it finds you, not the business down the street. The world already changed. The only question is whether your business is reachable when the agent knocks.

Build the endpoint

We design and ship the MCP server or API that turns your catalog, availability, quotes, and orders into something an agent can act on.

Publish & verify

We generate your /.well-known/mcp.json, confirm you own your domain, and get you verified and discoverable in the registry.

Go live with agents

BEA and every Beacon-aware agent can now transact with you, with a human approving anything that moves money.
